As an artist and curator based in Manchester, I am drawn towards disused buildings in and around the city. I am intrigued by the lives once lived within now empty spaces, such as abandoned pubs and derelict fire stations. By imitating archaeological practices, I seek out evidence of past human activity within these places. I often use these findings, along with materials pertinent to the site, to make my sculptural work. Through my work, I capture fragments of our recent history, revisiting the collective memory of place.
